The EU flagship initiative Border Management Programme in Central Asia held the Closing Conference of the 10th Phase in Kyrgyzstan.

The conference served as the final milestone in the  Programme’s journey, drawing conclusions, reviewing achievements and discussing the future direction of EU - Central Asia cooperation in the field of border management.

 The event gathered more than 100 high-level representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and national agencies of the five Central Asian countries, the Delegation of the European Union in Kyrgyzstan, EU Member States’ embassies, international organisations and the BOMCA Consortium and Associate Partners.

For its outstanding contribution to the successful implementation of the project, the FVS received a Certificate of Appreciation from the BOMCA10 project coordinator, Chief of the State Border Guard, General Guntis Pujāts at the project closing meeting

The 10th phase of the BOMCA project began in 2021 and ended on September 5, 2025.
