The PVD is authorised to certify foods for their compliance with national food quality schemes. This applies to all companies that wish to label their products with the references of the national food quality scheme “Green spoon” and “Bordo spoon”.

Process description

  1. Application and list of raw materials
    An undertaking or an authorised person thereof shall complete the application, draw up a list of raw materials and submit to the PVD.

    An application signed with an e-signature may be submitted by e-mail.

    It may also be submitted via an e-address of the institution.

    The service charge is specified in the price list.

  2. Examination and checks
    The PVD shall carry out a documentary and operator inspection;
    On the basis of a risk analysis, the suppliers of raw materials shall be checked (if necessary);
    After the inspection of the operator, an evaluation report shall be drawn up and issued to the operator and, if necessary, a time-limit shall be agreed in order to eliminate any discrepancies found during the inspection.

  3. Issuance of a certificate
    If the examination determines the conformity of the operator and the scheme product with the requirements of the national food quality scheme, the Service shall, within 10 working days of the referred to check, take a decision regarding the issuance of the certificate of conformity of the national food quality scheme.

    The operator shall submit in writing, by 1 February each year, a report on the products marketed in the preceding year, if he has operated for at least three months in the previous year in the corresponding scheme.

    You can also submit a report, signed with an e-signature, using e-mail.
