Service requests
The operator or his or her authorised person shall present the consignment and submit the accompanying documents of the consignment:
- commercial documents;
- the authorisation (licence) of the State Agency of Medicines for the manufacture or import of certain medicinal products;
- a single permit (licence) for the import of specified narcotic drugs and psychotropic medicinal products;
- a licence for the import of medicinal products from the competent authority of another Member State of the European Union if the medicinal products are transported through the territory of Latvia (in which the number is placed in a customs warehouse)
- Zva authorisation (licence) for imports of specific investigational medicinal products (type and form)
- authorisation for the distribution of medicinal products not authorised individually
- an individual authorisation for the distribution of narcotic drugs and psychotropic medicinal products not registered
- authorisation of the import of samples of medicinal products
- a single permit (licence) for samples of narcotic drugs and psychotropic medicinal products.
- for a commercial transmission, a contract with the possessor of medicinal products regarding the provision of transport services;
- for a commercial carrier, an authorisation to carry out the provision of transport services.
When importing veterinary medicinal products, the operator or an authorised person shall present the consignment and submit the accompanying documents of the consignment:
- the authorisation (licence) of a PVD or a ZVA for veterinary pharmaceutical activities,
- the registration certificate for veterinary medicinal products,
- the authorisation for imports of unregistered medicinal products issued by the PVD,
- the certificate of the series of veterinary medicinal products,
- commercial documents.

A border inspection of the consignment shall be carried out at the border inspection post.
